ITINERARY (subject to availability)

Day 1 - Arrive Tokyo - Dinner Cruise

Take the train and subway from the Haneda airport to the hotel. Accommodation Shibuya Tokyu REI Hotel near the Shibuya Crossing (the busiest intersection in the world – the Times Square of Asia, seen in movies). Check in at 15:00 (3 pm). 

You will be provided with a Japan Rail Pass which must be activated at the airport when you arrive. The JR pass is valid for all trains, subway trains, and some buses.

Welcome Dinner Cruise at 7:20 pm.
Beef Sukiyaki, show, and a free flow of soft drinks (additional items available for purchase). During cherry blossom season, will cruise along a designated route for sakura viewing, Weather Permitting (Eitai Bridge, Sumidagawa-Ohashi Bridge, Shin-ohashi Bridge, and Sakurabashi Bridge)

Day 2: Tokyo - Full-Day Bus Tour w/ Buffet Lunch & Tea Ceremony

Full-Day Bus Tour w/ Buffet Lunch & Tea Ceremony

  • Take in the splendor of the emperor’s residence at the Imperial Palace Plaza.
  • Visit Senso-Ji Temple in Asakusa and see the oldest Buddhist temple in the city.
  • Sample some local specialties in the traditional Nakamise shopping arcade.
  • Participate in a casual tea ceremony and sip on some fragrant Japanese tea. After the tea ceremony, visit Odaiba, a popular shopping and entertainment district on a man-made island in Tokyo Bay. Explore the sights and savor a buffet lunch at a nearby hotel.
  • Then, take a cruise through Tokyo Bay, where you can pass underneath the iconic Rainbow Bridge. Finish off your tour with a visit to Tokyo Tower and take in stunning panoramic views of the city.

Day 3: Tokyo – Wagyu and 7 Japanese Dishes Cooking Class

Wagyu and 7 Japanese Dishes Cooking Class at 10:30 am (about 3 hour class).
Enjoy cooking and savoring Wagyu beef and 7 Japanese dishes from appetizer to dessert!
“Wa” means Japan(ese), and “Gyu” means beef. During this class, using various method of cooking, you will cook 8 admired dishes, including a Wagyu main dish. Also, you will get to experience what it’s like to make a traditional Japanese meal with seasonal ingredients which have a range of colors, textures, and flavors. Afterwards, enjoy what you have prepared and taste the juicy, delicate Wagyu beef. 

Enjoy your free time to explore Tokyo for the rest of the day.

Day 4: Kyoto: Shinkansen Train to Kyoto, Bamboo Forest Ghost Tour

Take a Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo to Kyoto
Accommodations: Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kyoto-Kiyomizu Gojo

Free time to visit Kyoto. Visit the Golden Temple (Kinkakuji Temple), Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine with thousands of red tori gates, Samurai & Ninja Museum, where you can try using a ninja blow gun and throwing a shuriken, the Nishiki Market, the Gion area (geisha and teahouse neighborhood), or the Iwatayama Monkey Park (located in Arashiyama area of Kyoto).

Kyoto Ghost Tour – Dark Tales & the Bamboo Forest at Night (7:30 pm)
Not the usual Ghost Tour! Step into the serene yet haunting bamboo forest of Kyoto on this unforgettable ghost tour. Walk alone along the quiet paths, where the only sound is the rustling of bamboo in the night. Your guide will reveal dark tales of unsettling events and forgotten spirits that still linger in the shadows. Feel the eerie atmosphere as you explore this timeless setting, rich with stories of the past. This is not just a tour—it’s a journey into the darker side of Japan’s history.

Day 5: Kyoto: Samurai Training and Ninja Weapon Making Class

Kendo and Samurai Experience with Uniform and Gear: (10 am)

  • Feel like an authentic samurai with this authentic kendo and sword experience
  • Experience using a sword in a 120-year-old building traditional Kyoto building
  • Dress in all the gear and equipment as you are shown how to use the sword
  • Walk in the footsteps of historic samurai as you cut a tatami mat with a sword

Lunch between classes at a place of the group choosing.

Ninja Weapon Making Class (2 pm)

  • Enjoy an experience that takes place in a 120 year old Machiya building
  • Immerse yourself in a authentic blacksmithing experience using real steel
  • Put the weapon you make in a beautiful box to take home and cherish (weapon can be taken on aircraft in checked luggage).
  • Throw the weapon and have the chance to relax in the house’s beautiful garden

Day 6: Kyoto: Roketsu Dyeing Class

Roketsu dyeing class.

This is the only workshop where you can experience 100% of bucket dyeing. A cloth item (shirts, tote bags, flags, and more) of your choosing is supplied, the stencils and supplies to paint with wax on the fabric, lessons and techniques, and participation in the final dyeing process. You can bring or create your own sketch or design to use. Take home your own hand-dyed item. (1 ½ to 2 hours)

Lunch after class at a place of the group choosing.

The rest of the day is free to finish exploring Kyoto.

Day 7: Osaka: Shinkansen Train to Osaka: Osaka Guided Walking Tour: teamLab Nagai Botanical Garden

Shinkansen Train to Osaka.

Osaka: Guided Walking Tour to Castle, Shinsekai, & Dotonbori (10:30 am)

  • Explore the iconic Osaka Castle and its surroundings.
  • Visit modern Osaka’s must-see Dotonbori and Kuromon markets.
  • Visit Shinsekai and feel its retro energy.
  • Explore areas that made Osaka famous and learn about the city’s merchant past.

Check into hotel and explore Osaka on your own or just relax and refresh.

At 7:00 pm head to teamLab Nagai Botanical Garden
teamLab’s art project Digitized Nature explores how nature can become art. The concept of the project is that non-material digital technology can turn nature into art without harming it. The artworks transform interactively, influenced by wind, rain, as well as by the behavior of the people in it, making the environment and the people a part of the works. The people and the artworks, the trees, the forest and the lake, the ecosystem and the environment, all form a continuity without boundaries.

Day 8: Osaka: Universal Studios Japan

Universal Studios Japan – Spend a day at Universal’s sister property outside of the US.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, The Flying Dinosaur and Minion Park with Despicable Me Minion Mayhem Ride, Super Nintendo World, Universal Wonderland, Hollywood Blvd., 1930’s New York, San Francisco, Jurassic Park, Amity Village (Jaws), and Water World.

Day 9: Osaka: Free Day

Free day to explore Osaka or relax and refresh. It may be a good day to do laundry.

Train back to Tokyo (approx. 3 hours)

Day 11: Tokyo: Disneyland Tokyo

Disneyland Tokyo  

Visit the Haunted Mansion, It’s a Small World, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and all your favorite Disneyland characters in Japan. The park is open 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Our hotel is an official Disney partner. Free shuttle bus to/from the park.

Day 12: Goodbye Japan!

Check out of hotel and take the train to the airport. Or continue the journey on your own.
